I took a chance and ordered this bunk bed. As you might have noticed, the entire shipment comes in three separate boxes. Two boxes came one day and the third box came one week later. My kids were excited to start assembling the parts. They got disappointed as the hardware was completely missing. I am not sure how the boxes did not have the hardware as everything is fully packed with packing material intact. We did not want to return the shipment as Amazon had the cheapest price. Other website are selling the same exact one with different brand names while all the pictures are same. So I did some research and contacted the distributor. It was an awesome experience where the lady who picked the phone assigned a case number and escalated it. Somebody from the manufacturing team contacted me the next day and that there will be a hardware shipment. I received the full hardware in next four working days.Once we received the hardware, I went to work with my 9 year old. It took approximately 5 hours solid to build up the bunk bed. One nut had stripped threads from get go. So we used Threadlock and used that nut where the loading is not there. The other small issue we had is the table connecting piece where holes were missing. So I just drilled a pilot hole and screwed it per instructions. This is not a easy build for some newbie. You need to have experience reading the prints and should have patience to think what the next couple of steps would be. There are not any written instructions only pictures with part numbers and screw details. Some people might get frustrated as assembling the parts wrong way, you have to go back and correct the steps. The primary reason I am giving five stars is 1) Great Customer service by the manufacturer and 2) cost competitiveness of Amazon.I love it. we had to drill a hole in the headboard of the bottom bed so a rod would fit in. It arrived in 2 boxes a few days apart. It came with all the hardware and tools beside a screwdriver. I put it together and painted a room within 2 days. So not *to* hard but tedious work.Very nice. Creates so much more space in the bedroom.Very wobbly even from the slightest movement on either one of the top bunksVery pleased with this bed. It is solid wood and sturdy, and great value for the money. As another reviewer noted, there are many pieces, and we used a drill and ratchet to aid with assembly. Once you lay out and organize the parts assembly runs smooth. We have an 8 inch mattress on ours, as no children will be sleeping on it. There is still ample siderail to stop one from rolling off the bed. Going up and down the stairs are easy , though I am at maximum girth to use the stairs without shifting sideways. The space under our bed is used to roll my treadmill, as well as my desk when not in use. As an adult, I would not recommend using that space as a workstation unless you are continuously cautious about not banging your head.
