Overall very pleased. The directions are relatively straightforward, but the Allen key screws are tight and hard to get in. My fingers are swollen. Using my husband’s drill now because by step 4 my fingers were aching. But as far as ease of building, the directions are clear.If it wasn’t such a schlepp to repack, I’d return it because I shouldn’t have to now use wood filler to fix a defect/dent it arrived with (some pictures attached). And it’s not like the dents and chips are on the non visible side, which wouldn’t be so bad, but it’s on the aesthetic “clapboard” siding which is immediately visible as you walk in the room. Unfortunate since it is overall a solid, good looking bed.Through no fault of Amazon, this is a great bed but tough assembly. The directions don't make much since but my daughter loves the bed now that it's finally together. We are waiting to put the desk together until me move into our house but the bed is amazing.I like the way it is set up and it is great for my daughters small room. She loves her room now that this bed is in it. It has a lot of storage and is multi functional. I am just worried about the toxic smell that won’t go away. The seller was nice and said he would give me a 80$ credit but that was several weeks ago and I haven’t gotten that yet.It's not very sturdy. It was ridiculous to put together and my husband is a carpenter. We should've built our own.Bed is perfect, my daughter shares her room with our GSD and the dog uses the bottom access as her dog house.
