We bought two one for our daughter and one for our son. They absolutely love it! There’s plenty of room underneath for an adult to hang out with the kids and the stairs/bed are very sturdy I climbed up several nights for story time(:We were nervous about buying this bed with no reviews, but we are glad we did. My son absolutely loves it and we are happy with it too. Just make sure you leave plenty of time to put it together. The main part of the bed took about two hours to open the boxes, organize the parts, and assemble. The stairs ended up taking a little bit more than two hours even though the parts were better labeled than the bed, and that really wasn't expected. (Keep in mind that we had a boy who wanted to be helpful in this process too. It probably would have been faster if he wasn't there.)Here are some general comments/feedback about the product and our experience.*It definitely seems to be good quality and quite sturdy. I have no reservations about being up there with my son, and we are probably close to 175 lbs combined. The stairs are very sturdy too. My hubby, who is >220 lbs sits there to read to our son.*Assembly was mostly straightforward and the directions were ok, not great. It's all pictures, no text. There were a couple points that the pictures weren't perfectly clear, but we figured it out. The parts for the main part of the bed weren't labeled, but the parts for the stairs had stickers with numbers to easily tell the pieces apart.*The parts lined up very well on the main part of the bed, but the stairs were a different story. We struggled more on that part of the assembly and had to re-drill a few holes. You could even see the pencil marks from the manufacturer where the holes were supposed to be. The tower (not shown in the picture I provided), which we waited about a week to assemble, was really difficult. Some of the parts were bent and did not naturally fit together. Unfortunately, I had already thrown away the box that had the phone number on it to call with parts issues. I assumed the tower would be a piece of cake compared to the rest of the bed. So the handful of assembly issues is one of the reasons I didn't give it 5 stars.*The smell of the wood...it's pretty bad. I expected there would be a smell, but I wasn't expecting it to be quite so bad. It's been well over a month now and it still smells, although not nearly as bad. If you think leaving the parts out for a few weeks will prevent this completely, guess again.*I put the fabric without the plastic windows in the wash before we added them. They washed well. I wouldn't recommend washing the ones with plastic.*There were no instructions for putting up the fabric, but it was pretty intuitive. Just note that the ones that hang on the bottom go up using velcro that you have to stick to the bed first. It's really easy though.*There are no existing pre-drilled holes for the tower to attach to the bed. This was only an issue because the pieces to the tower (as previously noted) did not line up well because some of the parts were bent. It ended up being fine, but that definitely was a two-person job. Someone has to hold the fully assembled tower in place so someone else can drill/screw it into place on the bed.Overall, we are very happy with this bed, especially at the price we paid, and would buy it again.First of, it was easy to assemble with two person. Instruction was clear. The product is solid. My wife dismantled it and carried to another room and it works. Normally, those sort of DIY products’ joints or wooden parts are waered after disassemble. My daughter loved it. Recommended! There’s places where the color looked worn off. The stairs need more attachments/brackets to the bed to make it more sturdy. Bottom door tore off easily. Kids love the bed thoughCame yesterday in 3 boxes. No damage yay. It took me over 5 hours to put together (woman all by myself, well with little kids running around all the time). The instruction came in 2 sets. You can attach the stairs left or right same with the slide you could put it next to the stairs or on the opposite side. Every piece was labeled and the instruction was nice and clear to understand. The wood is nice and sturdy, it has a little smell but it’s colored wood and it’s not to strong. The only issue I had was the tower above the slide. I did not install that. I failed lol but I am not an expert handy woman. The screws broke out the wood piece you connect the metal to. So I just left it and didn’t install it at all. It is awesome even without it and my son was ok not to have it. I am almost 200 pounds and sat with the mattress in the bed to put the covers on the top and it did not break. I would feel comfortable to sleep in it without worry to break. The weight limit is 175 so I was very careful though. The stairs are really solid and I have no worry they will break when I stand on them. My kids love the bed the slide is strong since it has wood panels supporting it under the sliding board. We all love it and it’s money well spend, we hope we get many years out of it and I don’t see why.My kid likes the bed and that is very important. I'm hoping when she is older we can remove the slide and canopy and just use it as a loft bed. We had a family member assemble the bed. He did most of it by himself in about 5 hours. There were some issues with the instructions and some issues with misdrilled holes. He was able to fix the issues and figure out the confusing instructions. Someone not used to assembling furniture might have problems. The bed looks nice. I do have some safety concerns with it. We have a 6" matress in it and it makes the railings pretty low. Also there is a drop off when going from matress to slide that is a little hard to maneuver for a child. Definitly not safe for toddlers. If you have the option I would recommend a very thin mattress. There is also a gap between the bed and the metal rods that hold the castle canopy over the slide. We had a little one's arm slip through it and get stuck. Lucky she didn't try to go down the slide or her arm could have been really injured. Hard to constantly supervise kids when it is in their bedroom and is their bed. Would I buy it again? Probably not but since it is already put together we will enjoy it and just be cautious of the issues. Our toddler is not allowed to play on it without an adult. The daughter we got it for enjoys it but knows to be careful.
