The assembly was anything but easy. Quality is questionable to say the least. We received pieces that had already been put together before and had ordered brand new! Split in the headboard and were offered a replacement then told they were out of stock…less then impressed.I want to start by saying this bed is beautiful. It’s truly gorgeous. The only downfall is the ladder. It’s a very awkward/steep climb up. The height was a little taller than I expected and the very top step between the ladder rung and bed barely leaves enough room to put a foot. Going down is the real issue. It’s a small space to turn your body around and for your foot to fit through that crack, even for a child. My daughter fell getting out and hurt her knee pretty bad. We will not be using it for that reason. Other than that though, it is very sturdy and pretty. Too bad the ladder was a deal breaker.
