We needed to get a bunk bed for our two sons and this one seemed perfect. It's all made from wood and has that woody smell. I usually don't like things that have strong odors, but this wasn't so bad. It's already been a few weeks since I put it together and I can't smell anything anymore.Putting it together wasn't that hard and I was able to do it by myself in a few hours. However, I am a fairly handy person. The instructions were really clear so I think that anybody should be able to follow it.The bed is really sturdy and doesn't wobble and most important, my kids love it.The only issues I had were with the roof. In order to get the roof panels equally spaced you'll have to figure that out on your own. There are no indicators of where to place each panel and how far apart they should be from each other. That would have been nice.The other issue I had with the roof panels is the paint. In the box they all came stuck together almost as if they were placed in the box before the paint had fully dried. So when I took them apart the paint would be removed from some of the panels in a patchy pattern as shown in the picture. This affected more than half of the panels, so when placing them onto the bed I just had to make sure they weren't visible. It would have been nice if they were packed with a thin sheet of paper between them. I tried contacting customer service regarding this issue, but I have not heard back from them as of yet.Overall I'm very happy with the bed and would still recommend it despite the issues I just described. I also wish I would have heard something from customer service even if it was just to acknowledge the issue.Assembled in a day and great value for the moneyThese were perfect for my boys, ages 10 and 7, and for the price, they really can't be beat! They take several hours to assemble but it's totally worth it. The kids love their new beds!This is such an awesome bed for the price, my kids and I love it! They spend countless hours playing house on it. My only negative review would be the set up. The instructions are right and straight forward but the bed came completely disassembled and some of the assembly was tricky even with me helping him.I have a lot to say about this. So for starters, shipping is 100$, and yet it took over a month to get to me, and it hadent even been moved from the warehouse for weeks after purchase. I contacted seller and was refunded the shipping cost for this reason. The next thing is for whatever reason both packages were held in a nearby city for like 2 days to "reprint" an "illegible" sticker. Next, they didnt even come on the same day which led to a giant box sitting in my living room for the day. Now to the fun part. My roommate and i started working on the bed around 5:30pm. We did not finish until 12 at night. We also had to restart or remove and replace multiple times because this comes with the literal worst instructions i have ever seen in my life. I had to set up a bed in another room for my kids to sleep because of how complex this was to put up. Now another thing is, out of all the screws and pegs, only one type of screw came with any extras. And of course, the main screws used had 0 extras AND they are super easy to strip. I had to use pliers to get one of the screws in because it got stripped and there were no extras which led to it hanging out partly. Another thing is that on the part with the window, its supposed to have holes on the top to secure it to the roof part. 0 holes. Even in the instructions it said there was supposed to be holes. We had to get our own screws and screw in support for it on the top. Also with the slates to support the mattresses, the holes didnt line up right on multiple slates and some slates were too short and this led to some screws being drilled in and pushing out the wood on the inside so it was wobbly. Theres no reason this should of taken so long or been so complicated. It also takes like 2 different types of tools, including a screwdriver and allen wrench. Now that its all set up i do love it and so do my kids, but with all the hassle it wasent worth the cost. At all. My suggestion would be to find a similar looking item on Amazon from another seller with better reviews that this one.Product is solid, was missing 2 screws, reached out to customer service for some assistance. They asked for a boatload of info just to confirm the order just to tell me they didn’t have any extra screws they could send me and to go look for some myself. Great product, terrible customer service.Such a cute bunk bed set I got for my two boys. They enjoy it and so do I lolThis such a cute bed! Only took my husband about 2-3 hours to put together and it is very sturdy. Definitely worth the money!
