We purchased this bed for our daughter for Christmas in 2017 and it has held up all the way through 2023 and continues to hold up well. I wish the instructions that came with it were more clear, this thing took nearly all night to put together so if it's worth it to you I would recommend purchasing the assembly assistance. We just recently swapped out her bed for a different one but it was by her request and nothing to do with the quality of the bed. We are passing it along to another family member where it will surely hold up for at least a few years if not more.The steps are nice and sturdy and held up to the wear and tear that comes with a 3 year old all the way up to 8 years old. The bed would shake just a little if we waited too long to do a maintenance check and tighten up the bolts but it was never too concerning. Our daughter was excited when she first saw it and always slept well with no complaints. We customized it a bit by putting fairy lights underneath and some curtains and she enjoyed sitting underneath to read and play. It freed up a lot of space in her room and looked really nice.Personally, I believe the price is a little high for the quality but at this point it has definitely paid for itself.
