Although it was tedious for me, I am 5 feet tall and 125 pounds, I was able to put it together myself. I took breaks in between, but overall I would say without breaks it probably would have been 3 to 4 hours or so because I did not have the upper body strength to turn the Allen key fast enough and I had to tippy toe on top of a step stool to screw the slats in the middle part. My 8yr old loves the bed. I got her a full-size bed. The slide is very slick and she said it was too fast, but she is also a nervous girl lol we put Teddy bears in front of it. I am probably going to put a pad underneath it for a softer landing. The bed is super sturdy and in my opinion well made for the price. Packaging was great. We slept in it last night and I did notice some creaking on one of the corners, I will address it today and see if I have to tighten it more. Nothing was broken and all the pieces were there. The instructions were very straightforward. I am very happy with this purchase and so is my daughter.
